Beira Interior – The New Base for Pessoa!

In Beira Interior, we strengthened our bases as wine producers. Here we are surrounded by a mountainous nature with granite and schist soils. We have old vineyards with old conduction systems, which are part of a great and little explored region. These Lands end up being the setting for a project that yearns for the new and the unknown. Although we have been producing in the Douro for 12 years and in Vinhos Verdes for 8 years, this is where the project gained a more artistic and more artisanal dimension in the way of making wine.

It was even here that our mobile wine cellar and our itinerant production stopped and settled.

What you find when you come to Beira Interior:

The selection of varieties that is planted in Beira Interior is varied.

The white Siria variety is further north, in the coldest parts. Arinto is present further south in the warmest parts.

We find red grape varieties such as Rufete, Marufo or Jaen. But Baga and Trincadeira are also grown.
